Congratulations To

Nicholas Cutsumpas
of White Plains High School! 

Last Week's Con Edison "Athlete of the Week!"  

103.9 WFAS congratulates Nicholas Cutsampas, a Senior at White Plains High School!

Nicholas Cutsampas is a true student-athlete who possesses the skills and determination for success. Nicholas was Captain of the White Plains Varsity Basketball Team this past Winter but really shines when it comes to baseball. As a two-year Captain of the Varsity Baseball Team, Nicholas was named All-League, All-Section and Most Valuable Player. This season, Nicholas led Section I in home runs and RBIs, and led his team to to it's best school record ever.

Academically, Nick is an AP Scholar who has been a High Honor Roll student every semester of his high school career. Most recently, he was awarded the Charlie Jenkins Memorial Scholarship at White Plains High School and was a Melrose Credit Union Scholar Athlete Honoree. He is a member and Director of Tutoring for the National Honor Society in addition to being a member of the Midnight Run Club, ROAR and the Religious Education Council. Nick is an active member of the Unitarian Church of White Plains and teaches Sunday school to second and third graders. He volunteers his time at Leukemia & Lymphoma Society events, the White Plains Little League Baseball Clinics and has been an integral part of the Hit-n-Run Baseball Camp and SWISH Basketball Camp staff. Nicholas will be studying and playing baseball at Tufts University in the Fall.
